My name is Katie, and I have been working in the field of mental health and wellness for many years. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Level III, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Talk therapy can have many benefits including learning new coping skills, more adaptive management of stress and challenging situations, changing unhelpful behaviors and thought processes, anger management, development of more productive habits, setting and reaching wellness goals, relationship enhancement, overcoming fears, and more. Talk therapy is also essential in the treatment of many mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, substance use disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and others. Each person comes to therapy with their own needs, wants, values and objectives, and I will work collaboratively with you to find the approach best suited for you.
I have worked with clients of all ages and gender identification. My work history includes community outpatient mental health, inpatient settings, jail- and prison-based programs, and substance use disorder treatment facilities.
I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey of mental health and well-being.
