Welcome! I'm Dr. Jime (pronounced Jimmy) Salcedo. I offer both long-term and brief therapy to college students and working professionals. I understand how challenging it can be to navigate through difficult thoughts, emotions, and life experiences, and my goal is to be a supportive guide along the way. I practice a mindfulness-based approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps you unlock your full potential by living in alignment with your core-values. Together, we’ll work toward creating a rich, meaningful, and fulfilling life.
I am comfortable guiding my clients through many of life’s challenges including anxiety, depression, struggles specific to Latinx and first-generation college students, self-confidence, relationship issues, work-life-family balance, concerns around men and masculinity, parenting, as well as matters of faith and spirituality. Together, we can work through these challenges and create lasting, meaningful change.
On a personal note, I grew up in a working-class immigrant community and was the first in my family to attend college. I understand the unique challenges of navigating higher education as a first-gen student. As a father of three young boys, I also recognize the complexities of raising a family while striving for balance in life. These experiences have profoundly shaped my values and inform my work as a therapist. I look forward to walking with you to help create the life you envision!
In addition to my therapy practice, I enjoy offering EDD evaluations for Unemployment status.
