Hello! I'm Victoria, currently an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I am a mom to three daughters, and they are my greatest achievement and challenge. I earned my Master's of Science in Counseling, MFT, in 2018 from California State University, Fresno. I have further strengthened and established my therapeutic approach in working under seasoned professionals in private practice and Intensive Outpatient Program environments.
I have provided therapeutic support in a range of environments including school based treatment, private practice, and Intensive Outpatient Programs. I specialize in supporting patients with anxiety, depression, women's health including pregnancy and postpartum, stress, couples therapy, codependency, trauma, substance abuse, harm reduction, and coping skills.
I aim to meet my clients in a grounded and authentic fashion. My philosophy in my practice is that each and every patient possesses the ability and capacity to heal. My goal as a clinician is to walk alongside the healing process. This will look different for every patient: direct and cognitive, or emotion-focused and mindful. I work to fuel empowerment through honoring each experience and emotion a patient is working through. Collaborating with my patient to access and utilize the best tools and coping skills for their goals is a priority. It is the greatest honor to hold such sacred space where the most delicate experiences of your life will be shared. I prioritize my relationship with each patient and my strength as a clinician is my ability to genuinely connect. I always welcome patient feedback when a part of treatment is effective and especially when it is not; I value ongoing transparency throughout the treatment process.
I utilize various intervention techniques including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and relationship based treatments. I find value in building strong rapport with patients as it greatly supports the goal of a patient's openness to therapeutic challenge and reflection.
